The Avdel Textron Hemlok® fastener is a high specification structural breakstem fastener with exceptional shear and tensile strength. When set this fastener gives a large blind side bearing area against the rear sheet. The Avdel Hemlok rivet features an interference lock formed by a splined stem ensuring strong vibration resistant joints whilst the large blind side bearing area spreads the load and prevents creep.


The Avdel Hemlok fastener is suitable for fixing Metal to metal, metal to plastic and thin sheet to thick metal. It was designed to provide strong, vibration resistant joints and to spread the tail bearing/clamp load onto the rear sheet. Protection is also provided against electrical problems due to loose or rattling rivet stems. Used extensively in sheet metal fabrication especially in the automotive industry and in the manufacture of warehouse racking, scaffolding systems and ladders where fastener strength is paramount
